Postdigital Participation - Digital learning support through immersive technologies for people with ADHD (ImmerTec)

Abstract

Research has shown that digital technologies can be utilised to remove barriers to participation in urban life and in educational spaces. But participation to what end and in what (Kelty 2020)? Following the shock of COVID-19, which destabilised many accepted ways of living, and increased attention to digital technologies, there is now a unique window for problem-oriented research strategies that is ‘bold, activating innovation across sectors, across actors and across disciplines’ (Mazzucato 2018: 2) and to explore the aims and values of participation in a (post)digital world.

Within the Leibniz ScienceCampus 'Postdigital Participation' we investigate 'Digital learning support through immersive technologies for people with ADHD (ImmerTec)'. We design, develop and evaluate learning support systems for people with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) based on VR and AR technologies
